Consumption of Natural food is Better to Increase the Red Blood Cells

A blood cell is also known as haematopoietic cell, hemocyte, or hematocyte. It is produced by the process named hematopoiesis. There are three major types of blood cells that are found in blood which include-

1. Red blood cells (erythrocytes) 2. White blood cells (leukocytes) 3. Platelets (thrombocytes)

All these three blood cells together make up a total of 45% of the blood tissue by volume and the remaining blood tissue constitutes of 55% by volume of plasma which is the liquid component of blood.

Anemia is a conditions which develops if your red blood cell (RBC) count is low. The normal range of red blood cells in men is 5 million to 6 million cells/mcL and for women it’s 4 million to 5 million cells/mcL.

If your RBC count is low, your body has to put in extra efforts to deliver oxygen throughout your body. RBCs are the most common cells present in the human blood. The body produces millions of red blood cells every day. RBCs are produced in the bone marrow and the life span of RBC’s is 120 days. The liver is the organ which destroys them and recycles its cellular components.

Anemia is a disorder which can lead to number of complications, is it is left untreated.

There many natural foods which help to increase the red blood cell count. The advantages of using natural sources is that they have lesser number of side effects than using medicines.

Iron Eating diet rich in iron content can increase the production of RBCs in the body. The rich sources of iron are red meat such as beef, organ meat, such as kidney and liver, dark green leafy vegetables, such as spinach and kale, dried fruits, such as prunes and raisins, beans, legumes and egg yolks.

Folic acid Including some of the B vitamins like folic acid (Vitamin B9) in your diet can also beneficial. Foods rich in vitamin B-9 (folic acid) consists of enriched breads, enriched cereals dark leafy, green vegetables, such as spinach and kale ,beans,lentils,peasnuts.

Vitamin B-12 The food which contain high levels of vitamin B-12 are red meat, such as beef, fish dairy products, such as milk and cheese and eggs.

Copper Copper is not directly involved in the process of RBC production, but it can help RBCs to use the iron they need to replicate. Foods high in copper include poultry, shellfish, liver, beans, cherries, nuts.

Vitamin A The component retinol present in vitamin also supports the process of RBC formation. Foods rich in vitamin A include dark leafy green vegetables, such as spinach and kale, sweet potatoes, squash, carrots red peppers fruits, such as watermelon, grapefruit, and cantaloupe.
